Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Tonite Gonzalez-Collins is an American-Mexican sportscaster. She is the host of SportsNation as well as an anchor for SportsCenter anchor. She joined ESPN in the year 2016. Her mother is the reporter for television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is bilingual since the age of nine years old, a valuable talent that enabled her to get her first job in the production department for Univision in Miami which gave her the chance to collaborate with producers of national programs such as Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. She was hired as reporter for the CBS St. Petersburg affiliate following that. Her move to Rio Grande Valley in 2009 to become a reporter at KNVO TV 48 Univision. Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision, and Fox2 News. She covered stories about the issue of immigration and trafficking drugs throughout Texas and Mexico. Also, she would fill in on occasion as a weather and sport anchor. Deportes 23 in Dallas, Univision's affiliate station in Dallas. There she had more responsibility. She also did segments on Major League Baseball's ALDS ALCS and World Series the Dallas Cowboys the NBA postseason as well as the Finals FC Dallas and the Dallas Stars. She held the same position as a sports anchor for Primer Impacto magazine and Contacto Deportivo on the UniMas Network. Antonietta Collin's parents are originally from Veracruz Mexico. At some point they relocated into Mexico City where she was born on November 22 1985. She is older than her sister. The family moved in 1992 to Mexico to the US and eventually settled in Miami. The couple divorced within a short time and in 1995, she was married a naval architect named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away in 2006 from kidney cancer. The couple stayed with her family in Canton Ohio with her older sister in the summertime and was given an opportunity to work. Antonietta was a senior in high school with an idea of what she thought her future would be like, visited Mount Union University to see if the school suited her. The campus was beautiful and provided the education she sought. Her high school graduation was in the spring of 2004 and began studying media at the University. Mark Bergmann was her professor and the manager of WRMU and WRMU, which she's a member. They formed a strong connection. Mark Bergmann was the person who instilled her confidence and whose passion in Journalism touched her deeply. In turn, she was determined to exceed his expectations, never letting him down.
